Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship: Roscrea conceded a walkover to Toomevara on Monday 6th September. This now knocks Roscrea out of the championship as they have finished bottom with all games played.

The fifth and final round of games will take place this weekend and will determine the semi-final pairings. Nenagh Eire Og will finish top of the group regardless of the final round of results, Borris-Ileigh are second on four points, Kilruane third on three points with Toomevara fourth with two points.

On Friday, Toomevara and Borris-Ileigh will face off in Roscrea at 6.00pm while on Saturday, Toomevara will be the venue for Nenagh Eire Og and Kilruane MacDonaghs at 3.00pm.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship: The group stages of The Watch Centre sponsored North Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship concluded last Friday with the Group 1 final round. In a game with plenty of goals, Newport defeated Lorrha 4-16 to 5-6 while Burgess had a 0-16 to 1-10 win over Portroe. These results mean that Newport have finished second in the group and will join Silvermines in the knockout stages.

The draw for the knockout stages took place on Monday last with the quarter finals pairing Knockshegowna v Kiladangan and Ballina v Newport to be played on 25-26 September. The semi-finals a week later will see Silvermines playing Ballina or Newport, while Borrisokane will face either Knockshegowna or Kiladangan.

Junior ‘C’ Hurling Championship: Kiladangan had a 0-18 to 2-9 win over Borris-Ileigh in Puckane last Sunday morning in their third round game.

Kilruane MacDonaghs and Ballina was postponed due to the passing of Ger O’Meara.

The fourth round of games will take place this Sunday 19th September at 4.00pm where Borris-Ileigh will host Ballina whilst Roscrea will travel to Cloughjordan to take on Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Kiladangan top the group with six points, Roscrea second on two points, Kilruane MacDonaghs and Borris-Ileigh have one point each with Ballina on zero.

Under 19: Best of luck to both Kiladangan and Ballinahinch/Templederry who are in action in the County U19 Hurling semi-finals this Saturday 18th September.

In the ‘A’ semi-final, Kiladangan will take on Thurles Sarsfelds at 4.30pm in Dolla, while in the ‘B’ semi-final, Ballinahinch/Templederry will take on Holycross/Ballycahill at 2.30pm in Borrisoleigh.
