Accompanying Michael on this cycle is Nicholas Lalor from the Drumcullen club, who are also participating in the ‘Community Buddy’ programme. The money they raise will be used to train people within their GAA club to become a support for people struggling with mental health and suicide. Photo: Rose Mannion

Supporting the Cycle Against Suicide

Michael O’Carroll of TherapyHub.ie and Lorrha has entered a team in ‘Cycle Against Suicide’ Mizen to Malin challenge over six days, starting on September 19. Michael and his team are raising funds for this charity to provide training for the Community Buddy programme that creates a role within a club to identify and help those who might be vulnerable. Paddy Reddin has decided to take on this role in Lorrha & Dorrha GAA club. Drumcullen GAA club in Offaly, home club of Nicholas Lalor, HQPhysio Birr, have also decided to take on this role.

TherapyHub.ie

At TherapyHub.ie we help people who are in need of direct mental health care. We also understand the need for mental health supports in the community and have therefore decided to enter a team into Cycle Against Suicide’s Mizen to Malin event in late September. We have been training over the summer covering 1,500km so far across 10 counties to raise awareness and funds for this charity. We have an official fundraising channel with CAS - https://gofund.me/1c56f5d2
