Visiting restrictions eased at Tipperary University Hospital

Following increased infection control measures taken by the outbreak control team last week, management at Tipperary University Hospital has reviewed the current situation and has taken the decision to ease visiting restrictions at the hospital.

Effective from Friday, August 13, visiting to Tipperary University Hospital has recommenced with patients permitted to have four visits per week. Hospital Visiting times are between 2 – 4pm & 6-8pm. Visiting will be not allowed outside of these hours.

VISITING ARRANGEMENTS

Visiting arrangements are as follows:

All adult patients may have four visits per week, by a nominated family member, for a maximum of 1 hour per visit. Families are requested to limit the number of visitors to patients as this will reduce potential exposure to infection.

One parent will be permitted to visit children in the Paediatric Unit at any one time.

Parents are facilitated in SCBU
