Garda warning over building site break-ins

Gardaí in the Nenagh district have reported an increase in incidents where building sites are targeted by thieves.

Witnesses are also sought over a break-in to a car parked at Abbey St, Nenagh, last Sunday. It is believed that the vehicle was broken into some time between 9am and 3.30pm while the injured party was at work. A number of items were stolen.

A car was stolen at Scart, Roscrea, last Thursday night. It was subsequently recovered a short distance away.

Gardaí responded to a disturbance at Ballyvillane, Nenagh, at 1pm last Thursday. A male was arrested at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.

Another man was arrested under the Public Order Act after gardaí attended the scene of a disturbance in the town at Silver St in the early hours of Sunday morning. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in this matter.
