Cloughjordan music gig this weekend

The Blue Door Sessions group are hosting a three-day music festival in Cloughjordan this weekend.

The exact location of the event will be provided upon ticket purchase.

Each evening has a different theme. Friday, July 9, which starts at 7pm, is entitled ‘Acoustic Sunset’. The acoustic acts performing this night are Acoustic Reign, Norma Manly, Wood of O and Lisa Manning.

Saturday, July 10, which also starts at 7pm, is a Rock, Punk and Grunge theme. The acts for this night are Jack Keeshan, Knoeline Keane, Bubba Shakespeare, Built in Blue and Meraki.

Sunday, July 11, which starts at 6pm, presents Garden music, which is then followed by an Open Mic. The Garden music acts are Pete Duffy, Clive Williams, Nicantsaoi and Anthony Wixted.

Tickets are available at www.bluedoorsessions.ie. Tickets are limited due to current restrictions, so book in advance.

Among the acts performing are Meraki, an up and coming four-piece rock band from Nenagh, who are headlining on Saturday.

A band that spans many genres from rock to alternative to indie, they have something for everybody. Re-emerging from lockdown to showcase some original songs, which they have been writing throughout lockdown, the band will also perform some covers during the set. Meraki consists of JP Ryan on vocals and guitars, Tristan O’Rourke on guitars, Trevor Whyte on bass and Brian Richardson on drums.
