An incident of alleged trespassing by a male at Nenagh Hospital on Sunday last is also being investigated.

Arrests for public order breaches

A man who allegedly spat at a window of a garda patrol car in Nenagh was arrested on suspicion of breaching public order on Saturday night last.

The suspect seemed to be intoxicated and shouting obscenities, according to gardaí.

The incident occurred in Banba Square at approximately 9pm. The man is also suspected of causing criminal damage.

In a separate incident, two males were arrested for public order breaches in William Street, Nenagh, on Wednesday of last week. It is alleged that one was drunk and disorderly and refused to leave the area when asked to do so by a garda.

Sergeant Declan O’ Carroll of Nenagh Garda Station meanwhile reported that an incident of alleged trespassing by a male at Nenagh Hospital between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday last is being investigated. CCTV footage at the hospital is being examined as part of the investigation.

Sergeant O’ Carroll also reported that gardaí are investigating damage caused to a residence in an apparent attempted burglary at Flannan Street, Nenagh, sometime between Saturday and Monday.

In Newport, a male was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the Clonbealy area at around 11pm on Monday.
