No North Tipp Show for 2021 but support their memories' appeal

A year ago the organisers of the North Tipperary Show faced the reality that they would have to cancel the popular event for 2020 and, like most other people at that time, believed they would be back for 2021.

At the recent Zoom AGM, the committee members were joined by Jim Harrison, Secretary of the Irish Show’s Association, who told them that the board of the ISA has no choice at this time but to advise the Nenagh show not to run in 2021, until such time as the appropriate authorities deem that it is safe to do so.

So, instead of organising a show this year, the committee have decided to gather historical information, memories and old photos from previous shows in Nenagh. They would love to hear your stories about show day, do you have any old photos you would be willing to share with us? Do you remember the old Showgrounds, did you go to the show dance in the Scouts Hall? You can contact Margaret at 087 2772545 or email at northtippshow@gmail.com

The committee would also like to thank Catherine Lee for fantastic leadership over the past two years as the North Tipperary Show Committee Chairperson and we welcome Brendan Murphy in as Chairperson for the next two years. We are looking forward to bringing our show back in 2022 - bigger and better days ahead.
