Covid outbreaks at Nenagh schools - CBS closed today

The HSE is engaging with two secondary school in Nenagh in response to suspected outbreaks of Covid-19.

It is reported that positive cases of the virus have been detected at Nenagh CBS and St Mary's Secondary School.

School authorities took the decision to close Nenagh CBS for all students this Friday (April 23rd). Further information is expected later today with regard to the school's reopening plan.

St Mary’s Secondary School has also confirmed that the school is working with the HSE while a public health risk assessment is being carried out relating to Covid-19 cases.

The school remains open to students and staff not deemed close contacts of the suspected positive cases.
