All students return to school after the Easter break for the first time this year.

Milestone day in Covid battle

Today, Monday, April 12th, is a milestone day in our ongoing battle with Covid-19 as a phased easing of the Level 5 restrictions begins.

Following the Easter break, all children will now return to school while residential construction work is also restarting.

The 5km travel restriction is also being changed and the public can now travel anywhere within their county or up to 20km from their home into a neighbouring county.

People from two households will be able to meet up outdoors but this does not include meeting up in private gardens

On Sunday 303 new cases of Covid-19 were reported - the lowest daily number since mid-December and the Public Health team is urging us all to remain vigilant as the vaccination programme gathers pace.
