Nenagh girls running for Leitrim

Elsewhere, Deirdre O'Connor, a Leitrim native living in Nenagh and member of Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Club & Committee has been supporting Leitrim's GAA Fundraiser in January.

Leitrim supporters all around the world are running, walking or soloing 50 miles in January to get fitter but also raise funds. Deirdre's brother Donncha Lynch (Clan na Gael Club, Sydney) is one of the leaders in the Challenge. Donncha's nieces, Róise and Sailí O'Connor along with their friends Grace and Lucy-Anne Cleary, all Camogie players with Nenagh Éire Óg, have been running three times a week to complete the 50 miles. Isabel & Niamh O'Connor, cousins of Róise and Sailí, who have recently moved to Nenagh from Panama, have also finished the 50 miles and seen and trained in frost and snow for the first time in their lives! They hope to join up with Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Club for the upcoming season.
