Kelly and Cahill bag final two seats

The final two seats in the Tipperary Constituency have been filled by sitting TDs, Alan Kelly (Labour) and Jackie Cahill (Fianna Fail). Garret Ahearn's (Fine Gael) bid just fell short on the ninth count which saw the distribution of the surplus votes of Mattie McGrath.
The five TDs to represent Tipperary in the 33rd Dail are: Michael Lowry (Independent), Mattie McGrath (Independent), Martin Browne (Sinn Fein), Alan Kelly (Labour) and Jackie Cahill. Outgoing TD Seamus Healy (Independent) lost on this occasion.
There was a 65% turnout for the election.
