Kiladangan overcame Toomevara to complete a clean sweep of North Tipperary Minor ‘A’, Senior and Under 21 ‘A’ hurling titles following a one-sided under 21 final on Sunday.

Toomevara finished the game with thirteen players after shipping two straight red cards, most crucially the loss of their full back, Seamus O’Farrell after just four minutes following an off-the-ball altercation with Billy Seymour meant they were on the back foot from the very get-go.

Couple this with the fact that the Greyhounds were playing into the teeth of gale force wind as Storm Atiyah battered the venue in the afternoon, you had all the necessary ingredients for an uphill battle for a Toome’ side who struggled to really gain any semblance of a foothold in the game from then on

Added to this was the fact that the failed to score from play in the entire hour with Kevin McCarthy converting 0-7 (all frees) of his sides tally while goalkeeper, Rory Brislane chipped in with well-taken placed ball from half-way to complete Toomevara’s tally.

Kiladangan went into this encounter well-fancied to cap off what has been a memorable year for the club in the North division and were gifted a tonic start after full-forward, Dan O’Meara rattled the Toomevara net after just 30 seconds.
