McKeogh's Staff Dance features in the new journal.

Killaloe/Ballina historical journal launched

The Killaloe-Ballina Local History Society are delighted to announce that their first issue of 'The Journal' has been sent to print and we hope to have copies available in time for the last Christmas postage date to the USA and Australia.
'The Journal' is full of local history, stories and poems from times past in our beautiful twin towns.
There are fabulous stories from some local people who are sadly no longer with us, including Mrs Crowe, Jerry Gough, Tom Grimes, Billy Mills, Michael Moloney, Tom Nolan and Maria O'Riordan. Also included are articles from some of the great lectures that we have had over the past two years, contributed by Roy Benson, Don MacGabhann, Desmond McHale and Yvonne Cohen, Gerard Madden and Dan O'Brien.
If that's not enough to tempt you, 'The Journal' also includes lots of photos and old newspaper adverts! And all for only €20!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who helped us put this publication together - Fifth Gear Design, the Nenagh Guardian Print and all those who contributed stories, articles and photos.
