Templederry Kenyons overcame a never-say-die Cashel King Cormacs challenge on Saturday to progress to the Seamus O’Riain semi-finals and deservedly set-up a mouthwatering clash with an improving Holycross-Ballycahill side.

John Kennedy’s charges had too much in reserve throughout this tie, and despite a second-half Cashel rally which saw them whittle down a 45th minute twelve-point lead to just three on the stroke of 60 minutes, Templederry never looked like losing this encounter.

The fact that they allowed Cashel back into contention will provide for much reflection but in retrospect Templederry were full value for their eventual six-point winning margin.
