The Addams Family comes to Nenagh!

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're all together ooky... The Addams Family will be on stage at Nenagh's Scouts Hall in October.

Nenagh Choral Society Youth Academy under the direction again of Stephanie Browne, William Cullagh (Musical Director) and Greg Browne (Producer) have been working hard all summer to bring together ‘The Addams Family’ a new musical comedy.

‘The Addams Family’ new musical comedy is lightly based on the 1964 TV show of the same name. Nonetheless, in this musical the quirky Addams Family must deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family; the realisation that their kids are growing up.

The Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and Gomez (Lorcan McDonnell) and Morticia (Caroline Browne), the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, would only be so happy to continue living that way. However, their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday (Joanne McDonnell) has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke (Jason Quigley), a normal boy from a respectable family – the most un-Addams-sounding person one could be! And to make things worse she has invited his parents Mal (Cuan Culliton) and Alice (Aine Tuohy) to dinner.

The rest of the Addams Family members - brother Pugsley (Jayden Guilfoyle), Uncle Fester (Dylan Noonan-Kelly), Grandma (Jayde Ryan) and faithful Butler Lurch (Killian Forde) - join in along with Conquistador (Milo McGee) and some of the Addams Family ancestors to try and make the night run smoothly. But things derail, and in one faithful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams Family must face up to the one horrible thing they have managed to avoid for generations: CHANGE!

‘The Addams Family’ opens in The Scouts Hall on Wednesday, October 2nd and runs until Saturday, October 5th nightly at 8pm with a matinee on Sunday, 6th, at 5pm.
