GAA: FBD Insurance County Senior Hurling Championship Group 3 Round 3

Kilruane MacDonaghs 2-19

Eire Og Annacarty 2-15

Report: Liam Hogan in Templederry

For a contest to determine first and second place in group 3 this was a well contested game and in the end it was Kilruane MacDonaghs nerve that held up best as they saw off Eire Og Anacarty side by four points in this County Senior Hurling Championship clash on Saturday evening.

With both teams unbeaten after two rounds a place in the quarter finals was safe keeping but first place was important as the runners-up could be dragged into a preliminary quarter final.

Leading from start to finish, Kilruane began where they left off against Thurles Sarsfields the previous weekend as they opened brightly, racing into a 1-8 to 0-2 lead after sixteen minutes.
