Back to back defeats for Nenagh AFC

Nenagh AFC slipped to back to back defeats over the last week in the premier division of the Limerick District League.

Firstly on Thursday they lost 3-2 away to Prospect Priory in Cals Park.

Bryan McGee put Nenagh in front but Trevor Hogan scored twice along with a strike from Dean Glasheen to put the home side in control. Luke Kennedy reduced the deficit but Prospect held on for victory.

On Sunday, an understrength Nenagh side welcomed top of the table Ballynanty Rovers to Brickfields but were in the receiving end of a 7-0 defeat.

Kevin Nolan put the Blues on their way and before Adrian Power added a second. Conor Ellis scored before the break to make it 3-0. It was more of the same on the restart. Derek Daly scored and Power added his second and Ellis completed his hat-trick.

 

Premier A League

Newport Town continued their up and down start to the season with a defeat and loss over the past seven days.

Firstly, they suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat on the road to Charleville on Tuesday.
