Toomevara will make a third successive appearance in the North Tipperary Junior 'A' Hurling decider, following a comfortable victory over Knockshegowna last Friday.

Claps of intermittent thunder and the odd flash of lightning made this game feel like a battle, but Knockshe were wounded in the early stages and failed to ever recover.

Most of those wounds were inflicted by Toome’s front six, who excelled in front of the posts and seem to have that perfect balance of speed, experience and class.

It was their full-forward, 2010 All-Ireland senior medalist with Tipperary David Young, who opened the scoring, snapping the sliotar with his back to goal, before fainting left and popping over from around 35 metres. Conor O’Meara followed it up with a well-struck free from out on the sideline and suddenly Knockshe were left chasing their opponents.
