Taoiseach attends North Tipp Show

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar made a surprise visit to Nenagh on August Bank Holiday Monday to attend the annual North Tipperary Show, which organisers say was their most successful and best attended for many years.

Good weather and many new attractions brought the crowds out, and the Taoiseach himself added to the buzz of excitement when he made his surprise appearance on the site at around 2.30pm.

Vice Chairman of the Show Committee, Brendan Murphy, said the Taoiseach's visit was kept quite, but they were thrilled that he decided to come.
