Noel McGrath hails proud day

I’m proud of what we have done with the group of players there,” admitted Noel McGrath following Tipperary's heroic comeback victory over Wexford.

It’s a day that you’re happy and proud to be a Tipperary person.

There was serious character, guts and skill, everything that’s good about hurling was shown out there today.
“These days in Croke Park, that’s why you train, that’s why you play, to play in games like that.

It must have been unbelievable to watch. It was edge of the seat stuff.

Coming out the right side of it is massive.

It was such a proud day to be wearing a Tipperary jersey. We’ll be looking forward again for the next few weeks now.”
