Nenagh fundraiser for Dariusz this weekend

Polish and Irish DJs will join forces for a benefit night in aid of Dariusz Swierkosz at Maximus nightclub in Nenagh this Saturday, March 2nd.

The local community is being kindly asked to support Dariusz and his family by buying tickets for the upcoming event. As most of you know by now, Dariusz (37) suffered a serious spinal injury in Poland last month. The injury has left the married father of two paralysed from the neck down.

It's hoped that the Maximus fundraiser will help Dariusz's family, contribute towards his medical expenses and bring him back home to Nenagh, where he has worked for the last 14 years at Lidl.

The music at Maximus will be underway from 9pm. There will be also be spot prizes and more besides to look forward to on the night. Tickets cost €10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Front Bar, Ormond Hotel, Kenyon St. Please show your support by purchasing a ticket.

Tickets are also on sale at Lidl, at any of the Polish shops in Nenagh, Ladybirds creche, Cleary's Garage, Richard's Chinese, Romano's, Nenagh Lesiure Centre, Dunnes, Tesco, The Pantry Cafe, Carey Glass, Sullivans Family Butchers, Morgan for Men, Nenagh Warriors Club, Eason, Razor's Edge Barbers, Deborah's Cafe the Fitness Factory, and also Fifth Avenue in Limerick.

A number of other fundraising initiatives have been organised around Nenagh, including a special opening of Quigley's cafe on Sunday, March 10th, at 2pm, and a Golf Ball Drop Raffle organised by Acorn Life at O'Rahilly St on the same day at 10.30am. All are invited in for a cup of tea/coffee and dessert, and all proceeds will go to the Dariusz fund. Donations can also be made on the 'Support Dariusz' GoFundMe web page.
