Colin Elliott, Louise Morrissey, James Kilbane will feature in the celebration of Country Gospel programme on RTE.

Tipp music star on RTE1

Country music is once again having a television first in Ireland with RTE 1 television on Sunday week, February 10th, at 11.10am as the broadcaster are featuring Country Gospel in Ireland on a special programme.

 

Tipperary’s multi-award winning singer Louise Morrissey, the Bansha Lass, will be featured alongside well know Country Gospel singers James Kilbane from Mayo and Colin Elliott from Armagh.
The programme will be a rich musical coming together of North, South, East and West of Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Methodist and other traditions.

 

Louise, James and Colin are joining with the Rev Alan Mitchell from Sligo and Portstewart and the Sligo Gospel Choir for an Irish country music celebration titled, ‘A Celebration of Country Gospel Music’.  Expect to hear many Country Gospel favourites like One Day at a Time, I Saw the Light, Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross as well as You Can’t Buy Heaven and many others.
