Best one yet for history making Duharra

This is the best one yet,” claimed joint captain Gemma Grace as Burgess/Duharra celebrated their seventh County Senior title in a row.

It’s really a great honour to contest county finals each year. Ten years ago we didn’t have one county title to our name and now we have our seventh in a row and it’s an amazing feeling,” she added.

It obviously doesn’t matter to Grace how many as she medals she has won and is taking great pride from each final.

Today we really got a whole team performance. The subs that came on made a real difference and from everyone up, including management, everyone played their part in this win.

We got a great start to the game, we put scores on the board, we took the better options, we passed the ball back out and we put them over the bar and that gave us a fantastic lead at half time but we knew how important it was to hold onto that in the second half and we did just that,” she said.
