Kiladangan and Roscrea will have to do it all over again as their North Tipp Minor 'A' Hurling Championship semi-final ended in an exciting stalemate last Wednesday evening.

Holders Roscrea were mild underdogs going into the game and looked like they had timed their run perfectly to lead going into extra time but Kiladangan, unbeaten in the round-robin phase, showed their character to score two points deep in injury time to force a replay, after referee Christy McLoughlin decided that there was insufficient light to play extra time.

The replay takes place this evening, Wednesday, in Nenagh at 6.15pm

A Kevin McCarthy free in the fourth minute of injury time sealed a semi-final victory for Toomevara against Lorrha Rovers Gaels in a game the greyhounds never looked like winning last Thursday.

Even the most ardent Toomevara fan would admit they were lucky to come away with a win. Having been out hurled for most of the last quarter they fell four points in arrears after Rovers gaels full forward Michael Egan secured a marvellous point from out on the wing in the 59th minute. McCarthy replied with a point on the hour mark as slender hopes of a recovery suddenly became realistic when Kenny Ryan goaled to draw level in the 62nd minute before McCarthy’s winning intervention.
