A late pointed free from Cáit Devane earned Tipperary a very important draw in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship away to Dublin.

The point was enough to see Tipperary finish second in the group, ahead of the metropolitans on score difference, sets up a quarter final against Waterford at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork on Saturday 4th August, while while Dublin play Galway in the other quarter final.
Group winners Cork and Kilkenny advance directly to the semi-finals, which will be played in Semple Stadium, Thursday on Saturday 18
th August.

Sunday’s result was a great boost to Tipperary who are back in a quarter final for the fourth successive year and they showed great character and composure once more to grind out this result, which they were looking for, to play Waterford in a quarter final who have made history by reaching a quarter final for the first time. The aim for Tipp this year is to progress to the semi-final and it is certainly attainable at this stage.

As usual, Gemma Grace, Mary Ryan, Karen Kennedy, Laura Loughnane, Roisin Cahill, Orla O’Dwyer, Grace O’Brien and Cáit Deváne were outstanding, although the latter had a difficuly day on the free-taking but nailed the last one when it was required. Mary Ryan was completely in control at centre back with Gemma Grace seeing off many attacks which meant custodian Caoimhe Bourke was rarely troubled.
