President Higgins to visit Birdhill

The final preparations are being completed in Birdhill for the arrival on Saturday of the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins.

 

The celebratory visit will see President Higgins unveil the National Tidy Town Overall Award 2018 which has been awarded to Birdhill.

 

Over the past week, the local Tidy Towns team together with many volunteers as well as local authority workers have been making sure Birdhill will be spick and span for Saturday's eagerly-anticipated visit by President Higgins.

 

Traffic controls will be in place for the event.
