Nenagh band go back to the '90s

Nenagh power pop duo Billy's Cinema are back with a new single titled ''94'.

''94' is a rich, melodic, angsty throwback to the days of '90s rock and growing up in that special decade we all loved. The song asks the question: 'Do you remember?' The lyrical content may just unlock similarities to memories for absolutely everyone, no matter what age.

This is the fifth release from childhood friends Martin 'Twisty' O'Brien and John Cummins over the last 12 months. In 2014, John approached Twisty with a handful of songs. After listening to them closely, they were able to arrange them into worthy singles in Twisty's studio. John liked the arrangements and then the old spark had been reignited once again.

For two years they wrote together and tracked all of the material on hand in the studio and eventually released their debut single 'Heartsong' in Christmas of 2016. To their surprise, it went straight to No 1 in the iTunes rock chart.

And, seemingly still containing the same support as they did in the old days, along with some new supporters, Billy's Cinema was established quickly.

On drums for their new song is well-known rocker Emily Dolan Davis. Emily was in The Darkness in 2014 and recorded an album with them also. She is currently on tour with Howard Jones and the Thompson Twins. She goes on tour in April with Kim Wilde.

Billy's Cinema's ''94' will be released this Friday, December 1st, on iTunes and available on all digital platforms.
