Decision due on Nenagh site

Tipperary Co Council is shortly due to make a decision on a plan to redevelop the former O'Connor's shopping centre site in Nenagh.

Developer Martin Healy has recently submitted further information to the council, which had requested clarity on a number of issues, among them a masterplan for the Martyr's Road area, a flood risk assessment for the site and an archaeological assessment.

Mr Healy is planning a multifaceted project that involves the existing Lidl store. Three retail units are proposed in a redevelopment that will also see the creation of a plaza and 180 car parking spaces, among a series of other features.

A comprehensive further information report has been submitted by Mr Healy's agent the Planning Partnership, which concluded that all issues should now be allayed and looked forward to “an early and favourable decision on this matter”.

The council is to make a decision by October 16th.
