New tennis courts for Nenagh

Tipperary Co Council has granted conditional planning permisson for two new tennis courts in Nenagh.

Nenagh Tennis Club is providing the new courts, complete with perimeter fencing, floodlighting and all ancillary works, on the club’s Limerick Road grounds.

The site currently has six full size tennis courts with three narrower training courts to the rear. The two new courts are to face vertically towards the club entrance on an area currently under lawn. A perimeter fence of 2.7m is proposed around the new courts.

Among other conditions, the council has stipulated that the lighting should be directed and cowled so as to reduce light scatter outside the site boundaries.
