Litter complaints in Nenagh district

Tipperary Co Council dealt with a large volume of litter complaints in the Nenagh district in 2016.

The council's management report for December reveals that 318 litter complaint cases were closed with 10 still open.

 

Figures from the environment section show that 38 fines were issued for litter enforcement in the Nenagh district, more than anywhere in Tipperary. Countywide, the council made 14 CCTV camera installations at illegal dumping areas.

 

The council's environment section also dealt with around 200 complaints in relation to dog control in Nenagh. There were 12 complaints in relation to derelict sites in the district. The council advises that levies will apply to properties listed on the Derelict Sites Register in 2017.

 

Meanwhile, the council's Civic Amenity Site in Nenagh was by far the county's most visited with 61,702 visits. There were 28,847 Civic Amenity Site visits in Roscrea.
