Community Games drive into a bright future with Kia Ireland

Community Games is delighted to announce Kia Ireland as their Official Car Partner for the next three years.

Sean O’Brien, Leinster and National Rugby Great, was on hand to celebrate the partnership. Community Games holds a very special place in the heart of O’Brien as it was here he first picked up a rugby ball. Rugby turned him into a household name, but as he reflects himself, it was the 100m that won him his Community Games medal!

With over 160,000 children and 10,000 Volunteers, Community Games is one of Ireland’s largest sporting organisations.

2017 will be a special year as they welcome the Golden Jubilee of the organisation and to kick off the celebrations, Community Games with Kia have launched a National Golden Jubilee Raffle. The first prize in the raffle is a Kia cee’d GT Line worth over €20,000. All 570 Community Games areas benefit by retaining a percentage from every ticket sold enabling them to invest in their local committee and children. This Kia cee’d is one of two prize cars supplied by Kia.

Community Games President Gerard Davenport commented ‘This new partnership with Kia Ireland is testament to the work of Community Games all over Ireland in promoting healthy and active lifestyles for children and communities as a whole. Kia is one of the top 5 car manufactures in the world and with a history spanning over 50 years, is a great fit for Community Games. We look forward to celebrating our Golden Jubilee with Kia Ireland in the driving seat.’

James Brooks Managing Director of Kia Motors Ireland said: “We are delighted to be associated with Community Games. Kia is primarily a family brand and we see a great fit between the organisation and our customer base. We are proud to help promote the great work of Community Games in any way we can.'
