Upperchurch - Drombane photographic book appeal

A huge compilation of photographs relating to the Upperchurch-Drombane area has recently been collected and will be included in a book due to be published later this year.

The organising committee, with the cooperation of local households, has assembled over 2,000 useable photos and is now appealing for anyone who may still have photographs to contact them immediately.

Committee members have called to over 400 houses since the start of the year and have received an overwhelming response. The aim is to include all current residents as well as those who have passed away and indeed photos of historic and general interest also.

It is hoped there will be a broad mix of family photos of all generations. The committee would also like to hear from people outside the parish who may have relevant photos and who may not have been directly contacted.

As assembling and editing the book is a long process, all photos will need to be in by Sunday July 24th. Photos received after that date are unlikely to be included.
