The Ormond Octaves present 'Ómós Phádraig' at Nenagh Arts Centre

The Ormond Octaves will perform at Nenagh Arts Centre/Ionad Ealáine at 8pm this Friday, March 11th.

Their wide range of musical choices, suiting all tastes, will herald the opening night of this year's 'Féile Phádraig', which continues the following night (Saturday March 12th) with the ever popular 'Ómós Phádraig' variety concert, showcasing the best of emerging and established Tipperary talent by way of music song and literature.

Saturday's Ómós Phádraig concert will have Junior Eurovision star Aimee Banks from Galway as special guest. 'Féile Phádraig 2016 'continues on Sunday March 13th with an afternoon of dance beginning at 3pm. Damhsa an Domhnaigh will set feet tapping on the stage boards of Nenagh Arts Centre with step dancers from Kelly Hayes School of Dance, Slevin School of Dance and Flynn O'Kane Academy of Dance. Traditional set-dancing will be be performed by the Birdhill Set Dancers, while traditional Sean-Nós dancing will see the Bóthar Sean-Nós Dancers give their display. Other styles of dance will be demonstrated from the Bridget Harte 'Shall We Dance' School, when both 'Tango' and 'Rock 'n' Roll' will be given a display by Mary Kerins and Mike Sheehan.

The weekend will have something for everybody, local, visitor and tourists alike. Highlights of the music, song and dance are available on the recently released DVD 'Dromineer Castle: Remains to be Seen' and will be available for purchase over the weekend events at €15.
