Breaking ice with Nenagh Toastmasters!

Our last meeting was held Tuesday November 24th in the Abbey Court Hotel.

Toastmaster on the night was Shane Egan, who ensured the meeting was conducted in a well-organised and friendly manner. It was a very special meeting in that there were two Ice Breaker speeches on the night. The Ice Breaker is the first achievement and milestone that all Toastmasters must complete. It allows new members to introduce themselves to the group in any way that they are comfortable, whilst also completing project one from the competent communicator manual. It is a breakthrough moment for all of us, on this journey to being better communicators.

So, many congratulations to Terry Gleeson and Tracy Culliton who both completed their Ice Breaker speeches on the night. Not forgetting Aidan Kissane, who very ably completed his project five speech.

Many thanks to the designated speech evaluators; Siobhan O’Leary, Francis Burke and Danny Doyle, who gave very valuable and sincere evaluations to each of our speakers. Donal Ryan was sitting in the role of Topicsmaster and delivered an excellent random table topics session.

Our next meeting is on December 8th in the Abbey Court Hotel at 8.15pm. Guests are always welcome, can sit back and enjoy the evening. Why not come along? You will meet new people and make new friends – guaranteed!
