Nenagh talk on supporting vulnerable adults

A seminar entitled 'Supporting Vulnerable Adults under new guidelines' takes place on Tuesday December 1st at Tyone Community Centre.

 

The speakers include Sergeant Tony Wells and Tim Hanly. Sergeant Tony Wells has an MSc in Criminal Justice studies from the University of Portsmouth.  He is the Sergeant in charge of the legal and policy section of the Garda College for the last 6 years.  His current role is the HSE Liaison Manager for North Tipperary and the HSE based in Nenagh.

 

Tim Hanly has a particular interest in the foster care and after care areas and has played a key role in developing practice and policy within the HSE and Tusla in these areas. Tim has recently commenced a new position as Principal Social Worker in HSE National Safeguarding Office and he will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse policy.

 

The event will run from 2-4pm, no booking is necessary and the event is free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
