Nenagh music video nominated for award

A music video made by Nenagh multi-media outfit Avalanche was nominated for Music Video of the Year 2015 by Pure M.

The video for the song 'Sirens' by local band Silent Noise Parade was dedicated to the memory of young Nenagh man Brian Gubbins, who tragically passed away earlier in the year. Brian was a brother of Kevin Gubbins, a former member of Silent Noise Parade.
The 'Sirens' video was directed, filmed and edited by Thomas Moyles of Avalanche Multi-Media Studios in Nenagh. It was recently nominated for Music Video of the Year by Irish media entertainment news company Pure M. Videos for well known national acts like Delorentos and Le Galaxie were included in the same category.
At Avalanche Multi Media Studios, Tommy has made top quality music videos for a number of other bands, including Stephen Young & the Union, of which Portroe man Kenny Hollywood is a member. He also records corporate videos for business promotion and advertising.
Music recording is a key aspect of Avalanche, which offers musicians a purpose-built, spacious and fully acoustically-treated studio to nail down their drums, guitar, bass, vocals and more. Another cost-effective service is their tracking only service which enables musicians to record as individuals or together as a band and take away their recording to mix in their own time. A major selling point of the studio is its new drum room for musicians to add live drums to their recordings.
Tommy says a recording session at Avalanche would make an excellent alternative Christmas gift idea for any budding musician. The musicians could record themselves with backing tracks and all the trimmings, with the
finished product being recorded on a CD for them to take away.
Further Avalanche services include photo colouring and the restoration of old or black & white photographs, Tommy using state-of-the-art software to breathe life into faded photos. He also specialises in transferring VHS and camcorder footage to DVD, a much sought after service for people looking to resurrect
old family movies.
