Playground Fun Day fundraiser in Newport
This Sunday the reconvened Fun Day Fundraiser organised by Newport Playground Committee takes place. The event will take place at the Community Centre, Newport with the programme getting under way at 12 noon.
There will be plenty of valuable prizes to be won on the Wheel of Fortune and they will also hold an auction of various items including a signed Munster jersey, signed Limerick and Tipperary jerseys, turf, timber, etc.
The public – young and old - are encouraged to join them at the centre for a couple of hours and also support the initiative to provide a playground for the town. The initial fundraiser took place on Sunday September 20th but unfortunately poor weather marred the day.
