Race night for borrisokane snooker club
Borrisokane Billiards and Snooker Club kicked off the 2016 season last Thursday night with the launch of their race night fundraiser. The race night will take place in Molly Báns Borrisokane on October 3rd at 9.30pm. The club has had multiple venues but this is the 30th anniversary of the current hall being built and the club is continuing to build on the success of recent years.
Gerry Duggan, club chairman,commented: “2015 was a successful season for the club. We have had an increase in members from across the lower Ormond area with the three tables being used constantly for the first time in a few years. We have also done a lot of restoration work to the hall over the past 12 months including new footpaths and new security fencing around the premises.”
The hall will be opening soon and look forward to welcoming members young and old for the new season. Horses for the race night will be €10 each and there will be adult members going door to door throughout the coming weeks selling horses and would appreciate you support.
