New playground for roscrea

A planning application for the development of another playground in Roscrea is to be lodged in the coming weeks.

Local councillor Michael Smith (FF) told last week's meeting of Roscrea Community Development Council that the playground is to be developed at the plaza beside Tesco. He welcomed the proposal, which he said would make use of an open area and possibly also facilitate an outdoor market with a canopy feature.
Cllr Smith said the developer is in talks with the local Tidy Towns committee with regard to landscaping. He expected that Tipperary Co Council would receive a planning application in the coming weeks.
