Teams sought for tipp relay for life

The village of Toomevara will host the 2015 Tipperary Relay for Life event in the  local GAA grounds on August 15/16th this year.

The Relay for Life event is a novel fundraising event aimed at raising much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the organising committee are appealing for teams from throughout the Premier County to get involved. We need YOU to come together with friends and family and register as a team for this wonderful event and we need to recruit teams now!
You can register your team by calling 1850 60 60 60 or online at www.cancer.ie. You can also email tipperaryrelayforlife@gmail.com for details of the local committee or any further information on the event.
The Team Recruitment Chairperson Sarah Guilfoyle says she will be delighted to help you every step of the way. She is looking forward to working on this brilliant event, getting the teams on board, and supporting them through their journey.  The teams play such a crucial role in the event.

Relay for Life is a 24-hour community celebration, which honours all those affected by cancer. Created in the mid 1980s, Relay is now in 20 different countries with 5,000 events taking place in communities worldwide.
All funds raised through sponsorship and fundraising will go to support the Irish Cancer Society’s work in Tipperary. Please join us on the second weekend in August to Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back in the battle  against Cancer.
