Get ready for national bike week

National Bike Week aims to raise the profile of cycling as a healthy and fun mode of transport and physical activity with the objective is to celebrate cycling in all its forms and to get more people participating in cycling both for transport and recreation.

Tipperary County Council, NTSP & STSP secured funding for 2015 Bike Week from the Dept of Transport, Tourism and Sport. This funding has been allocated to several groups and organisations across Tipperary so they may host bike week events in their localities. This year, the seventh year of the annual event, National Bike Week will take place from Saturday week June 13th to Sunday June 21st.

A number of events are taking place across North Tipperary including the popular Charity Fun Cycle, organised by Nenagh Lions Club, in Nenagh on June 19th. A number of other events are also being run in Cloughjordan, Rearcross, Roscrea, Upperchurch and Templemore.
