Trcaire talk on palestine in nenagh

The public are invited to Nenagh Pastoral Centre on Thursday May 21st to attend a lecture on Trócaire’s advocacy work in Palestine.
Trócaire’s Programme Officer for Israel and the Palestinian Territories, Garry Walsh will give a talk at 7.30pm. The public are invited to attend this free event outlining Trócaire’s development and advocacy work in Palestine.
Garry has just recently returned from Gaza where he witnessed conditions following the 2014 bombing. Garry will give a firsthand account of the conditions under which Palestinians are currently living there and describe the work that Ireland’s largest international aid agency is doing to protect and defend human rights in the region.
Garry Walsh has previously worked with Ireland’s national platform of development NGOs, Dóchas, and has worked in Malawi with UNAIDS.
According to Garry: “We would encourage all members of the public to come along to this free talk. Our work in Palestine is mostly focused on the protection and development of human rights and social protection policies in the region. The talk will outline how people can themselves get involved in helping create a more peaceful and just society in the area.”
