Garda appeal over car breakins

Gardaí are again appealing to people not to leave valuables in their vehicles following another spate of thefts from cars.
Nine cars were broken into in Nenagh, Garrykennedy, Birdhill and Borrisokane over the last week.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Nenagh are looking for the owner of property that is believed to have been stolen locally. A house in the town was searched under warrant last Monday. A Honda grass strimmer and a brand new hose for inflating car tyres were among the items found. The owner of these items is asked to contact Garda Seamus Kelly at Nenagh Garda Station – (067) 31333.

There have also been several burglaries in recent days.

And, among other incidents, gardaí seized cannabis herb and growing equipment with a value of €4,000 from a house at Toomevara.
