Nenaghportumna road to close

The main Nenagh-Portumna is to close for four weeks near Lorrha in early March and diversions will be put in place to facilitate vital repair works.

Tipperary County Council has this week given public notice that it proposes the road will be closed for almost a month from March 4th at the townland of Lehinch, on the stretch between Ballyeiragh Bridge and the junction with R489 at Lehinch. The route is scheduled to open again on April 1st. Diversions will be in place and clearly signposted. Objections to the proposed  temporary closure may be submitted to the council.
