Closure order lifted on nenagh takeaway

The Food Safety Authority has lifted a closure order that was served over a Nenagh fast food restaurant.

The order was served on Ali Zulqarnain, Grillish Takeaway Ltd at 17 Silver St on November 4th. It was one of 12  food businesses around the country to receive enforcement notices from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) last month. The authority published its November enforcement orders last week.
But Grillish Manager Ali Zulqarnain said it is business as usual at his restaurant, which remains open following a brief closure period. Mr Zulqarnain, from Pakistan, said his restaurant received two visits from health inspectors. He said the inspectors were satisfied that the restaurant, which specialises in kebabs, complies with the relevant food safety regulations.
In a statement, the FSAI said the Grillish closure order was served by the HSE but was lifted on November 7th and is therefore no longer in place.
'Closure orders are lifted when the premises has improved to the satisfaction of the authorised officer,' a spokesperson for the FSAI stated.
