Late butler try seals munster win

Munster recorded a 28-24 away win over Cardiff Blues in the Guinness Pro 12 on Saturday helped by a late Paddy Butler try.

Trailing with time almost up flanker Paddy Butler crashed over for the touchdown to secure a precious win on the road for Anthony Foley’s charges.

Munster led 18-14 thanks to a faultless display from the boot by JJ Hanrahan while Lucas Amorosino bagged a try for Cardiff. A second try for the home side by Manoa Vasawai edged them Cardiff ahead but Munster’s late show saw the Irish province claim the win.

With Ireland’s autumn internationals beginning next Saturday, Munster won’t be in competitive action until November 21 when they face Newport Gwent Dragons.
