Up to 100 jobs to be created i

Environment Minister Alan Kelly has signalled the potential creation of up to 100 new jobs in Roscrea.

The minister said FRS Recruitment, a cooperative recruitment company which is based in the town, is set to create the jobs in a local head office, if, as he expects, the consortium they are part secures endorsement to roll out the Government's JobPath programme in the southern half of the country.

JobPath is aimed at finding  jobs and identifying training options for the long term unemployed.  Mr Kelly revealed that FRS Recruitment form part of the Turas Nua Ltd Consortium who are preferred bidders to deliver JobPath for the Department of Social Protection. “Subject to the final contract being signed, this is likely to result in Roscrea being the head office for the southern region,” said the minister. “The preferred bidder status of FRS is something that I expect will bring significant jobs locally.”
