Cawley rising through the ranks

Nenagh's Hazel Cawley recently travelled to Prague with the Republic of Ireland U16 soccer team to play in the European Development Tournament. They played Belgium, the USA and the Czech Republic, winning two of their three games.

This is a tremendous for this local 15-year-old student from Nenagh College who is sitting her Junior Cert this week.

Hazel plays in the U17 Women's National League with Peamount United, travelling to Dublin two nights a week for training and a competitive game every weekend. She has had a very successfully couple seasons with Peamount United since she transferred in 2017 from her local club Knigh United, winning the U15 MGL Premier League & Cup, competing at Gaynor Cup with the U16 MGL at the age of 14 & all in her first season. Progressing at only 15-years-old to the U17 National League the future looks promising for this young athlete and she wants to thank Carey Glass for their kind sponsorship this season.
