Newport back to winning ways in league

Following two disappointing defeats, Newport Town rebounded in division 1B with an emphatic 6-0 win at home to Granville Rangers on Sunday.

The scoreline reflected Newport’s dominance of the game with a brace each from Christy Doyle, and Dave Kenendy while Elliott Slattery and Kalem Harte completed the score.

Newport, along with all teams in the Limerick District League are now on the Christmas break until January 6 and will then face into a busy January with games in the league, Lawson Cup and the FAI Junior Cup game away to Aisling Annacotty on the weekend of January 12/13.
