Nenagh rout Carew Park to ease relegation worries

Nenagh AFC picked up a crucial three points in their effort to pull themselves away from the relegation zone with a comprehensive 9-0 win over bottom of the table Carew Park in Brickfields on Sunday.

Both teams have had their problems this season and are rebuilding for the future so it was no surprise to see two very young teams take to the field and do battle for a much needed three points on offer.

With regular goalkeeper Aaron Savage on honeymoon, youths keeper Stephen Mulvihill was handed his league debut and had a solid game with some good moments plus great playing out from the back and good distribution of the ball all game.

Nenagh took the lead on ten minutes through a great goal by Alan Sheahan. Soon after it was two when Luke Kennedy cut in from the wing and side-footed a lovely shot to the net.
